NVA Machine Gun Bunker
Here are some photos of a medium or heavy machine gun bunker I made a few years ago. It is on a Sintra base. The earth is air dry clay. The logs are balsa dowel from SIG, the folks who make parts for flying model aircraft. Last time I checked, it was no longer on their website.
The ground texture was Vallejo Grey Pumice
I did it for 20mm figures.

Re: NVA Machine Gun Bunker
I like how the embrasure is just the right height to stick a machine gun barrel out of.
Sigh - that's another thing I have to make. I have all the parts lying on my workbench atm.

That's top notch stuff Tom!! I've been looking for some ideas for my own 28mm VC machine gun nest. Will have to steal copy this idea!

Re: NVA Machine Gun Bunker
Thanks guys. I later decided I wanted some closer to the ground. I will have to try to find the photos of what I made.
This one is fairly high. The the MoH recipient at LZ X-ray, LT
Mark, took on one that was seven feet high. It may have been dug into a termite mound, but the source did not say that.

Very nice job. I plan on getting some twigs from the garden and making a few.

Thanks guys.
Love your avatar Darby. I am foolish enough to have bought the Schiffer book on tiger stripe patterns.
