The old Tapatalk location
predhead wrote:Is there a way to delete the old Tapatalk forum as it still appears in searches and one can see the various posts...or perhaps place a message there to come to this new home?
I went to the old forum today with my old laptop which I assumed had my saved credentials for the old forum, and they were saved on said laptop, but Tapatalk said they were incorrect. The objective was to put a redirect link to the new forum, but I guess that's not going to work. I can't remember the password for the life of me, and all the usual suspects don't work.
Doing a "Forgot my Password" also won't work because my registered email there is an old email address I deleted ages ago.
So I guess...... it just sits there like a dead duck. Eventually, we'll be indexed enough on the search engines that this place will come up first.

Re: The old Tapatalk location
There were some things on there that I would like to recover. So I hope it is accessible for a while. Finding the time is one problem for me. The other is I get all the computer time (and more) that I want already.

Re: The old Tapatalk location
Success! I was able to get in!! Tapatalk has a stupid new policy which told me as of January 2020 I would need a new id which would be linked to "Bravo Six". I didn't quite get the point, but remembered my old password and somehow got in!! The whole experience made me dislike Tapatalk even more than I did previously.
Anyhoo..... the board message has been changed and points to the new home here. I think we'll leave the old board up to pillage info from. For now anyway.

I also emailed about 22 members of the old board and let them know the forum has been re-launched. So far, only 4 emails have bounced.

Well, we just got Steders, sunnibahle (now Redfox....and no... not THAT Red Foxx) and General Castries back into the fold.

Good work! I saw a post already from Redfox. He is listed as a lurker.

Re: The old Tapatalk location
We also have Jim aka scouts19508 back now. Just joined today.
I think the effort was well worth slogging through the Admin CP over at Tapatalk to make radio contact with those who didn't hear about the re-boot.
From what I can tell, Etranger, L.Sabia Byrne, Timberline Six and Risaldar Singh had their emails bounce. So they're MIA. I reached out to Morten Reese as well (aka Reeese) but he hasn't joined up. Though someone from The Netherlands HAS been lurking since the email went out, so here's to hoping.
