Strange as it sounds. the thing I like about these figures is their haircuts. Frequently you'll read that soldiers in NVA/VC/VM units had a haircut before they went into battle. These figures have the "short back and sides" haircuts you see in many photos of Vietnamese units.
Courtesy of Ironclad Miniatures, I have a number of trench and bunker pieces. The idea is that these will form a French position, and the sappers will act as the spearhead of an attack on them.
