How to Stop Receiving Notifications

So this board is set up to notify members everytime they receive a reply to a topic by default. To stop getting email notifications, there's a small line at the right hand side, of the bottom of each topic page that says "Stop Watching This Topic". Just in case, like me, you're not wanting to be inundated with emails.

You can also fix it in your preferences.

Select 'Profile'
Go to 'Preferences' tab
Update radio button for 'Always notify me of replies' to 'No'

You will need to manually 'stop watching' any threads you've already posted in, but doing the above will turn automatic alerts off for all future topics.

You can still 'opt in' to watching a thread by using the 'Watch this topic for replies' function on individual threads.
