Some very unusual aircraft and colour schemes will result (just like my Free French tanks).

Indeed.
Hellcats and Helldivers come to mind too. But I agree that you cannot beat the looks of a Corsair. Add the roundel and the anchor...great look
Poor devils. There was something even more tragic in Indochina than even the US in the VN War. Never really stood a chance on the ground, ambushed and overrun so many times and the ultimate defeat and captivity at Dien Bien Phu. The story of the air support and supply attempts at DBP, against vicious flak and constricted drop zones and opposing forces makes for saddening reading. Huge contrast to Khe Sanh air wise.
