Timecast Latex Paddy Fields
Has anyone used the latex paddy fields that Timecast is selling? They look interesting:

We had similar ones (from TSS I think) which were OK...nothing to write home about.

Re: Timecast Latex Paddy Fields
I ordered a few and decided not to use them.
For my 20mm taste, they are too shallow and the borders a little too thin. I think they are much better suited to 15mm and smaller. I have a large table and need large areas of paddys so from a cost perspective, I think there might be a better solution.
I was going to put them up on eBay but if you are interested let me know. Shipping would be from the US.

We'd be interested but postage to UK might be prohibitive - how may do you have and what sizes?

You can also do this sort of thing yourself. I did some large fields using a clear shower curtain and tubes of caulk. You can then make the dikes as tall and wide as you like, and once they are dry you can paint the back/underside of the plastic and it will still be nice and glossy on top with the color showing through.
Oh give me a hoooome where the NVA roam, and the air support is stacked up all daaaaaay

Todd,
I haven't seen those you quote but I have seen and used latex paddies from an Aussie company called Miniature World Makers: https://miniatureworldmaker.com.au
On this page there are fields and on the 3rd and 4th pages of fields there are paddys https://miniatureworldmaker.com.au/products/id-6471/productlist/
Hope this helps.

They're okay. I have a few, didn't love them. I also tried miniature world maker and the ones from JR. They all took as much work to get looking good as making them myself. The ones ai do use are hardboard and I bought from a gent who used to make custom terrain (Terrain Architect I think he went by). If I ever need more I'll make them to match.
I do like some latex field as they lie flat on hills and slopes.

They are good.
I like that Vietnamese bending over working. My civilians are all standing up or occasionally walking.
