Anyone had any experience with the Hobby Master diecast jeep? I'm looking for something that will work with my BCOY stuff and I find 1/48 is a good scale for these beefy figures.

I'd probably give this a repaint, but it has potential. Despite being clearly WWII.

I've only had the plastic model, and it was a super pain in the butt to put together. If you have it, use it!

Were there many Jeeps? I have seen pictures of the odd one with ARVN but not much else.

I'd say "depends upon what you mean by jeep". Other than being used just for personal transport and MPs and convoy escort, there were recon platoons within some of the mechanized and armor troops that operated in jeeps. The 101st AB also had jeep recon units that would go out and get into trouble. Now, they didn't use the WW2 jeeps, but the M151 1/4-ton 4x4 Utility Truck. Of course they were mounted with m60s, .30cals and .50cals. Some were up armored, some had the big radio sets.

There were LOTS of Mighty Mites and Mutts but it was the WW2 Willys JEEP that I was interested in as I could only find a few oldies with ARVN when I did some research.

I hoped you had found some references Cool
