Canh Sat Highway patrol and US MP doing a roadside check, on the road to Long Binh.
This photo is causing a lot of comments on FB, mainly along the lines of "I spent my tour driving that road and NEVER saw no South Vietnamese Highway Patrol car!"
Some are even commenting that it is fake.

Then and now: cinema in Hue...
17 February 1968 - ominously, the spaghetti Western film playing at the time of the Tet offensive was called "tempo di massacro" (Massacre Time), starring Franco Nero (who starred in the original Django).
13 January 2024 - the cinema is now being used as a cultural hall.

Concerts, traditional song and dance troupes, Communist Party meetings - that sort of thing.

Oh, I think we can match that one.
On 27 November 1968, the kiwis of Victor Company 4 RAR (4RAR/NZ) discovered an abandoned Citroen in thick scrub on the edge of the Courtenay rubber plantation. The vehicle was recovered, fixed up by the Field Workshops at Nui Dat, painted bright pink and donated to Sister Pam Terry, a New Zealand nurse at the hospital in Vung Tau. The vehicle was apparently a well known sight, being passed on to successive groups of Kiwi and Australia nurses for the remainder of the war.
