The War in Northern Laos 1954-1973

I saw this title today as I started reading Christopher Robbins' The Ravens for the third or fourth time. The Ravens was published in 1987. When Robbins wrote it, he referred to it by title and author (he only mentioned Victor Anthony) and said it had not been declassified. He did not expect it to be released in the lifetime of anyone around when his book was published.

Well, I'm still here, and a Google search shows it to have been released. I am not sure anyone will be reading it. I cannot imagine reading something of that length on a computer screen. Nor can I imagine printing it out unless one is really interested in the subject. I am more than casually interested in the secret war in Laos, but not enough for this right now at least.

But here are two links. The first is to one of 52 MB and the second is 33 MB. That fools me as the page difference supposedly between the two is only one page. It must have lots of info.

PS - they probably scanned the documents at different resolution settings, which can bump up the size.

That would be pretty interesting. I have a hard time reading pdfs on the PC though. I guess I'm just too used to books that I can hold in my hands!!

I agree Rod. I will probably never read this unless it gets published as a book.
