Vietnam - Australian TV miniseries 1987

Starring a very young Nicole Kidman: features some relationship hankie-blowing stuff for the ladies, and some firefights for the men:



Quite a controversial series at the time given there is a rape scene in it, a lot of politics, and whole scenes where the dialogue is in Vietnamese and is unsubtitled. The Vietnam scenes are quite well done, and the ARVN Ranger uniforms look accurate too. There are some idiosyncrasies in terms of hairstyles and clothing - it's weird that even by the 1980s, TV hairdressers couldn't manage to do 60s hairstyles properly.

PS - there was another Vietnam Australian miniseries made about the same time - the plot revolved around a love story between a career soldier and his gf who became an anti-war protester. I haven't been able to find it. Anyone remember what it was called or who was in it?
