OTB's Stuff
US Marines Company
I started this project about 5 years ago and got most of the way there in 2016, then got sidetracked with other things to build. Two platoons of Marines seemed enough for a while, but there were scenarios where I needed 3....
Anyway, I finally finished the 3rd platoon of my US Marines, so I now have a whole company.
Here's 3rd Platoon, the one I just finished:
Most of these figures are Pegasus US Marines, but the platoon command unit features two Waterloo 1815 WWII US Marines with updated weaponry:
A squad leader: a Caesar figure that I did some light conversion work on:
M60 team:
A stand featuring 2 Pegasus figure and an ESCI figure:
3rd platoon with the rest of its company:
1st platoon:
2nd platoon:
Company HQ and heavy weapons units:
Sniper team:
Forward observer:
Flamethrower unit:
Mortar unit:
Medics:
Super bazooka teams:
Supplies detail:

US Infantry Company
Having finished off the US Marines, here is another long-standing project nearing completion: a company of US Infantry:
Accompanying them are a few character figures:
More photos to come when they are completed....

The Display Cabinet
I thought I might as well add a few photos of what’s currently in the display cabinet. A tricky thing to photograph due to glare and mirror glass....

So much and so cool.
You always add such neat little details that make the difference. I remember that from the old FoFR days.

Garryowen wrote:OTB, are you going to paint it with a brush or spray it?
Tom
It's a brush job - I only use rattle cans, so that wouldn't work.

About half the time I play the VC - I have an array of AA guns that will take that thing out...

Re: OTB's Stuff
I don't use an airbrush, but I have sprayed some aircraft with Testors aerosol cans. The won't get on the front cover of [i]Fine Scale Modeler[i] but they came out okay.

Phantom Painted
The Phantom is now done, painted up to look like a jet based in Thailand 1968-1973, that flew missions over South and North Vietnam and doubtless over Laos and Cambodia too.
The kit went together well, apart from the cockpit canopy, which needed to be superglued and set in place with a vice.

Re: OTB's Stuff
Fabulous paint job with a brush. Actually, it would be fabulous even with an airbrush. I have an H-3, an H-53, and an AC-47 I would like to get up the courage to attack some day. Painting is the biggest problem for me with the camo. I think in the past I have used too cheap paints.
Seeing your Tamiya bottle sitting there gives even someone as dense as I am a clue.

Thanks guys
Tom, I used Tamiya acrylics XF-11 (JN Green) and XF-59 (Desert Yellow), along with Humbrol HP-4 (German Camouflage Medium Green).
