Warhammer Vietnam Variant?
Ages ago there was an unofficial rules variant for 40k focusing on the Vietnam War. Does anyone remember this? I dove thru my tomes of old CD back ups but I guess I never saved it. There was even a Yahoo Group if I remember correctly.

I remember that yahoo group! The link on freewargamesrules is dead, so maybe it's lost to the ages...

Actually I JUST found a Spanish link to a Google Drive and all the rules and force lists were in a zip on there.

Oh dang OTB!
I would think 40k Nam would be quite... a mess. I mean, it's perfect for human wave attacks as 40k is all about assaulting. And the high power of vehicles might be ok, but as a whole...?

I wanted to track it down because it had some adaptable ideas for my own d20 rules.
40k in general is a mess, so yeah..... the Nam variant wouldn't be any different.

FoW Tour of Duty in a nutshell. I can't figure out why they didn't use the rules for the Korean War instead. The AirCav dice looked nice though - I'm still looking for some of those....

Re: Warhammer Vietnam Variant?
Maybe use the 2nd ed 40k rules as a base, or 8th, since both have different forms of overwatch.
@OTB: You can still get those dice from Battlefront.

Or maybe avoid GW products all together. Nice paints though.
