I am addicted. I just spent $440 at Elhiem to round out a company of US infantry, PAVN, and a platoon of Local Force VC along with all the support options a player would want!

Re: Vietnam Era Figure Manufacturers - 20mm
I can't see them mentioned here, so here's the Germania Figuren 1/72nd scale range (5 Webpages' worth):
https://germania-figuren.eu/3D-Drucker---Druckdateien/der-kalte-krieg/Vietnam-Krieg/
For those who don't speak German, these are 3D files only, for you to print yourself. They do some very specific sets: crews for specific vehicles and guns, and some very interesting looking civilian and "scenic" figures, as well as Lambrettas, boats etc.
Some of them are very well thought-out: the mine clearance team is superb.
I also like the marching figures:
Diligent late-night recon up Saigon back alleys...

Great find! However, what is up with the LRRPS figure with no pants?

Evan,
they were probably torn. resupply was not quick, and in
some conditions, as if with dysentery or just damaged
clothing, or even just rot from the weather for that matter, you would be
shocked how some of us looked after being out for
a long time.
Nice touch in that figure line. OTB, like you I loved the mine
clearing team. Great detail on those figs.

Thanks for the info Sam! That makes a lot of sense. I know the SEAL teams wore denim to minimize that problem. In fact, I have been looking for 20mm SEAL teams and I see they have an STL for them. I know what I am buying today! Thankfully I have loads of friends with resin printers who are more than happy to print things for me.

Evan,
meant to add that I was not an LRRP, but you often saw
Marines looking that ragged. Many gamers do not realize that
when casualties or KIAs were flown out of an area, useable
items were taken and replaced with worn out clothing.

ERM has closed, and Platoon 20 has been sold to East Front Miniatures. They carry the whole range, including Vietnam:

also:
That's a SOG team, the point man with the Swedish K is a Montagnard wearing a loin cloth. Should be a bit shorter and slighter IMO though.Evan wrote:Great find! However, what is up with the LRRPS figure with no pants?
