Night Ambush, Dong Tien District, 15 August 1969

Around midnight, a Popular Forces platoon with 3 MACV advisors cautiously moves up to a canal where VC activity has been reported.



The MACV advisors take up position in a hooch overlooking a footbridge. One has a radio and confirms preset artillery fire co-ordinates along the far bank for use should Charlie turn up.



The Popular Forces platoon takes up positions along the canal and waits. Across the canal is bandit country.

Wow. You got the lighting just right for that. You didn't actually play the game in that lighting did you?

Sadly no, although the idea is tempting.
