Test of new French rule "Au contact"
It's in french but it's in Vietnam
The rule is made to play with modern army ( Afghanistan, Africa,Lebanon etc...) with adaptation to Vietnam and WWII.

We had a discussion about visibility in jungle
In the french rule it is 12" and we thought it was too much .
I found some informations in other rules
FNG
At night, the LOS is reduced to 12”. However,
targets in a well-lit area will count LOS as normal
for those firing at them.
• LOS in woods is reduced to 12” in the daytime and
6” at night.
• LOS in jungle and bamboo forests is reduced to 8”
in the daytime and 6” at night.
• LOS in elephant grass is reduced to 4” at all times.
• LOS in inclement weather (fog, heavy rain, etc.) is reduced to 12” in the daytime and 6” at night.
Charlie company
Visibility is limited to 1" within the elephant grass
Visibility in jungle is 3".
Visibility within forest is 16".
Visibility within dense forest is 10"
Visibility in plantations is 32"
What do you think?

The night time ranges for FNG feel about right to me for night-time visibility as an average. The moon and cloud cover really make the visibility at night variable from day to day, so really hard to do any kind of accurate measure.

I have used FNG and have always been satisfied with the visibility rules.
