My successful prints...
Having been frustrated for some time in not finding vehicles needed for various projects I had in mind or underway, I decided it was time to join the 21st century. After many conversations with Darby, I decided a Resin printer was the way to go for my needs. I purchased an EPAX 1K printer, and took delivery last week. After watching several video's, reading countless posting on their Facebook page, and reading, rereading, and rereading again the manual, I set up the printer and gave it a try. I would be lying, if I told you I found the whole process intuitive, I spent a whole day scratching my head and cursing at the machine and program, finally I figured it out. It may be hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but I'm still barking!
M37 Weapons Carrier
(15mm or 1/100 scale)
M548 Cargo Carrier
(15mm or 1/100 scale)
The digital design for these models were done by M Bergman and downloaded from Thingsverse.
These prints have been sitting out in the sun, curing, will need to do some minor cleanup before painting. All in all I am quite happy with my printer and would like to thank Darby for answering all my questions.
Keep your heads down, and watch your six...

I used a Chitubox (free version) slicer as recommended by Epax.

I have only so far used Lychee on my Photon Mono. It was mostly because there wasn't Mono support till recently in Chitubox. Might have to give it a look thanks

I have just the mono, but when I got it chitubox didnt support it, but it did like 3 weeks later, but I had already been using Lychee by that point and had not tried chitubox again.

Re: My successful prints...
Errr ..... no. Was using the preloaded settings in the Chitubox Slicer for one of Epax's basic resins. I works pretty good, but does have some issues. I decided to stop printing until I could sort this out.

Re: My successful prints...
Some more 15mm Vietnam goodness from my printer. These have only been cut from the supports, the light from the flash show some layering, but once primed with auto primer and sanded they will be smooth.
M43 Ambulance
M37 with rear canvas
M577
M35 Guntrucks
More M35 Guntrucks
...was in a hurry to get the front truck cleaned and managed to snap off the rear weapon and break the barrel from the .50 cal. Some parts from the bits box and things will be as good or better than new.
and for all you 1st Indochina War fans...

Wow Paul, those turned out fantastic!
I really like the look of that M37. Great looking truck. I'm assuming WW2 or post war?

Re: My successful prints...
Todd,
The M37 was the replacement for Dodges WC series that saw service during WW2. In US service the M37 saw action during both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars and wasn't retired until the late 60's to early 70's. It was the basis for Baby or Mini Guntrucks as well as many other duties.

Re: My successful prints...
That is great to produce you own materials. I like the M37 and the gun trucks.
I posted on LAM forum, some time ago, a stl file I designed of a M76 Otter and another stl file for a LVTP-5. If you are interested, these files are still downloadable there. I would be interested to see how they look at 15mm scale...

I thought I knew what/where that was, but either I don't or can't remember. Can someone please give me directions, a link, or a trail of bread crumbs?

Paul,
Lead Adventure Forum (not to be confused with Lead Adventure Miniatures):
https://leadadventureforum.com/
There's a lot to sort through there. Maybe Richard can point you to the specific thread or you'll be there for hours combing through the "The Conflicts That Came In from the Cold" modern forum.

Todd,
Thanks a lot!! Went to Lead Adventures Forum first and searched with no luck, then thought "Lead Adventurers Forum, would be abbreviated LAF not LAM!"
