1967 20mm Vietnam Game
Ran a game last weekend using Disposable Heroes with some house rules to include wounding and reducing the damage of the weapons to make it less deadly. A US Platoon supported by an ACAV and an M113 for casevac purposes versus two platoons of PAVN regulars. PAVN eeked out a win when they blew up the M113 loaded with wounded with a lucky RPG hit. All 3 players had a blast and want to play again in the near future. I will be running a scenario at Mini Recon outside Austin, Texas next month with my stuff.

Looks like a good game - what do the beads indicate? (a nice choice of markers)

Thanks OTB! The yellow drops mark a unit that has been activated. DH has alternating rounds where one side activates a unit, and then the other side, etc. The red drops represent a pin and a unit can have multiple.

Evan,
Game sounded like fun. Game table looked great! Disposable
Heroes is a favorite locally. My best gaming buddy has used
it a bunch for WWII and their modern variant. Never played it
for Vietnam even though we both have the Long Road South
supplement. Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.

Re: 1967 20mm Vietnam Game
Thanks, Sam! Yeah it was really popular here for a long time, but bolt action and force on force kind of split everyone up for awhile. I feel that DH gives a fun game and rewards fire and maneuver fairly well. Plus each player can easily command a platoon which allows for bigger games with multiple players. We are playing again tomorrow to play test the scenario I want to run at Mini Recon. It will be a semi-historical battle where a US company needs to take a hamlet and key road as part of the drive to cut off communist supply lines to Hue during Tet.

NIce lookoing game. It is nice that you will run a game at a convention.
I recognize your Elheim. Nicely done. Elheim may have the only left handed 20mm NVA figure.

Thanks, Garry! Yes, it has already drummed up some interest on FB so I decided to run two games during the con to make sure everyone has a chance to play. Ha! I think they must be the only manufacturer with a left-handed NVA figure.

I must confess, that as much as I like Elhiem figures, I have sidelined all but one of the lefties. No offense to any southpaws here, just my quirk. If I ever paint over a hundred NVA, I would include another.
