Battle of Hanoi, 19 December 1946 to 18 February 1947

I'm looking for a decent map and summary account of this battle in French or English. So far I have not had much luck on-line.

If anyone out there has a map showing the dates that various neighbourhoods and buildings were taken, and by whom, it would be very helpful as I am going to walk the battlefield next year.

I haven’t come across many good maps of the Hanoi fighting in 1946/47. But have you seen this?

Apart from the museums (and the Hotel Metropole), is the Hanoi Opera House. In addition to it being the location for Ho’s declaration of Vietnamese independence, the Vietnamese have retained some elements of the damage from the 1946 street fighting. They have mirrors with the original bullet holes in them

the very good book "la guerre en Indochine" by George Fleury has no map at all
so does that make it "just" a good book ?

J'avais acheté ce livre aux Invalides il y a quelques années mais c'est une histoire générale. J'ai besoin d'un plan des rues pour cette bataille.
