3D Printed 28mm Sampan

Came across this on eBay UK. I've seen this design in a 1:35 resin model before, and though I'm not too keen on how rough this print is, I love the design of this sampan. Maybe someone will eventually do this in resin in 28mm.  

This is the 1:35 kit that this 3D one reminds me of.......

That is from a Vietnam 3D print Kickstarter from my friend Paul Deeming who runs WoW Buildings:



As you can see from this pic that Sampan can look very cool an of course being 3D printed can be printed in just about any scale.

Damn Ken, that looks good painted up!

STL files won't do me any good as I don't have a 3D printer. I'm STILL trying to find someone to do those water buffalo for me.

3D Printed 28 mm Skeleton

this is a quick little video of a 3D printed skeleton, 28 mm, printed using PLA filament, costs about 10c AUD to print in around 30 mins.

Great, thanks Todd. I did this as the forum wouldn't let me upload videos so I needed to load them somehow.

What did you think of the skeleton, coat of paint and you would never know it was 3D printed I believe?

Yes it looks GREAT! I've seen some hit and miss stuff on Etsy recently, 3D printed miniatures wise, and yours is pretty "hit".

The paint job on the 2nd sampan picture is plain...wow.
