Force on Force Game in Progress
I set up a small (4x5) game with Dad last night to continue working through rules. USMC v NVA. AAR to follow tomorrow. (hopefully these are correct side up, seems like I always struggle with that)
Figures are 28mm Gringo 40 and Full Metal Miniatures. Mat is from Cigar Box. Hootch is Sarissa. Other scenic items I have made or modified.

Gunship rolling in. Base needs grass and model needs weathering but could not resist posting. Thanks all.

Re: Force on Force Game in Progress
Beautiful table. The figures look 28mm so the helicopter must be larger than 1/72. I love that machine gun mounting and ammo feed. I used to know the nomenclature for that but forget now. For my 1/72 B model Huey I had to do a lot of conversion work to get that.
Looking forward to seeing more photos of your game.

Re: Force on Force Game in Progress
Thanks a lot!!!
Yes the UH-1B Hog is 1/48 scale die cast from Corgi. I need to weather it but a great model. I do not love building plastic models so for me these are a good value if I figure my time worth anything! :-)
I’m working on a UH-34 now in plastic. I wish someone did 1/48 diecast slicks, especially D models but I’ve not found them if they exist.

Hayes,
Great table.
How about a how-to on getting such a great looking shiny water effect in those paddies?

I was wondering about how you made those paddies too...

Re: Force on Force Game in Progress
Thanks a lot! I’ll do a tutorial on the paddies. I’ve toyed with making them for sale too but not sure what the interest level might be. Thanks again for the kind words.
Re: Force on Force Game in Progress
Those paddies do look really good. I'm guessing it's a 2-part clear poxy mix?

More great eye candy Hayes. I think you probably would have a market for those paddies. There's plenty of folks who would pay top dollar just so they don't have to build them, themselves.

Hayes,
You could feel the tension just looking at that first terrain pic!
Awesome table and pics. Must have been a great game.
