28mm Firebase artillery
Hello,
I started to collect some artillery for a firebase in 28mm.
Here is what I have:
M109:
I have only one old Aurora 1/48 M109 howitzer kit (if you have some kits in your attic I am fan of it). But I don't know other alternatives....
M101 105mm howitzer:
I have the 105mm howitzer from WestWind Productions. It is smaller (as far as I can see on internet) than the Warlord Games 105mm howitzer.
M110:
For the M110, I decided to buy a DeAgostini 203mm howitzer diecast model in 1/72 (I truncated the barrel) because I am not aware such kit/model exists in 1/48.
Here are the pics to compare the dimensions.
But to complete that collection I was thinking about this:
M102 105mm howitzer.
I think John BRUCE from FoA could still have some M102 with crew (I hope)...
155mm howitzer:
in 1/48 scale there is a model at Wespe Models (in Romania) and I can see on Amazon in the US a cheap pencil sharpener that is an 1/48 howitzer (why not?)
In 1/40 there is the Revell kit (re-edited some years ago if I remember well) that may match due the scale difference
M42 Duster:
FullMetalMiniatures has one.
Quad 50:
I suppose such piece can be extracted from a WW2 1/43 AA US halftrack, as I did for my gun truck.
Do you have other ideas?

Re: 28mm Firebase artillery
I completed my M109 kit with some extra bits and will start painting. (crew is from Full Metal Miniatures)
I also added for that collection two Russian trucks that I will paint as captured NVA trucks. They are in 1/43 scale from eBay. One is a GAZ 51 and the ZIL 157.
I saw pictures of such trucks in the A Shau valley.
