Beautiful! I really like the finish on the shell casings.
Diligent late-night recon up Saigon back alleys...

Cheers. I think I used Vallejo 'Old Gold', then an 'Umber' wash. Could probably make them shinier with a dry brush of a lighter metalic.
Only other US bits I have so far are an M-50 Ontos and an M-48 tank, I'll dig out some pics...

@ hayeswauford: Thanks very much.
Here's the rest of the Ontos pics. There was a bit of excess black pigment that I didn't spot until I looked at the pics, since been removed.

Great job on that Ontos Ash. The dust/mud effects look just right!

Re: 28mm Empress USMC ANZAC ARVN
Thanks guys, the mud/dust is all MIG pigments, a mix of 'African Earth' & 'European Dust'.
Here's another one; only other US piece I have so far is the M48 tank.

Re: 28mm Empress USMC ANZAC ARVN
Being out of little metal blokes to attack with powertools and paint, I made the mistake of rummaging through a box of off cuts of MDF, XPS and plasticard...
Had a go at some Vietnam'ish terrain for the US.

Superb! A very brilliantly detailed terrain item. I like the style very much (and the color range too)

Re: 28mm Empress USMC ANZAC ARVN
That bunker sort of evolved as i went along; started as a piece of trench with a fighting possition, added a roof then found this picture:
So added the roof over the trench, which then prompted digging out some steps...
Roof lifts off and support column comes out as well

Hello Ash,
You are an artist. I find the color palette you use for the ground very interesting. Do you have a recipe to communicate to us? Do you use MIG Vietnam ground texture? (for the moment I use burnt Sienna color from Pebeo highlighted with cinnamon but it is too rose, not enough orange/ocher) Regards Richard

Re: 28mm Empress USMC ANZAC ARVN
Thanks Richard; I bought some relatively inexpensive hobby paint via Amazon (docrafts Artiste) £1.50 for 2oz/57ml
https://www.amazon.co.uk/docrafts-Artiste-Quality-Acrylic-Paint/dp/B007Z54TA0/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3Q9N4N1LB813N&dchild=1&keywords=artiste%2Bacrylic%2Bpaint&qid=1609098769&sprefix=artiste%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-5&th=1
Mixed up 'Clay' & 'Chocolate Brown' plus a little Vallejo 'Burnt Umber' , diluted it with about 40% water and just slapped it over the Sculptamold, then sprinkled some fine sand/grit over whilst still wet. Once dry gave the whole thing a wash of some very diluted brown (whatever was on my palette at the time). Then a very light drybrush with Vallejo 'Dark Sand'.
Also made this piece, was thinking of building a mortat pit into it but ended up as just a trench.
