Rubicon does a Huey in plastic!!!!
Have you heard this?
]Our "New Project of the Month" for December 2020... the Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey". Another FIRST for Rubicon Models - something that is airborne! This will be a multi-sprue plastic kit in 1/56 scale covering the UH-1D and UH-1H variant. Final features are not confirmed but will include full interior, stretcher variant, and multiple weapon system support.

Re: Rubicon does a Huey in plastic!!!!
Not a bad looking model at all.
Wonder what they consider "multiple weapon systems" for D/H? They were so rarely used as gunships, and I don't think I've ever seen pictures or heard of a stretcher version other than in stateside planning documents. I hope they don't dilute the understanding/real history by supplying super rare kit and represent it as "normal everyday" use.

Re: Rubicon does a Huey in plastic!!!!
That is indeed true . A slick is a slick and would you load so many stretchers into one bird when under attack in a hot LZ?

Re: Rubicon does a Huey in plastic!!!!
I have seen where Dustoffs had a stretcher rack going transverse against the rear transmission bulge, and they'd put 2 in the rack and have 2 on the floor so there was room for the medic to move around.
