Well, with a company of each of these, I'll be able to field a full battalion.

the plastic soldier review website has been quite cruel about them , imho completely unjustified ... no need to put these guys off making more nam sets ...

They look pretty good to me from those photos. I've disagreed with PSR on a couple reviews in the past. I just tend to question the poses and composition of most soft plastic figure sets. I mean, sure, 4 flag waves are great for rubberband wars, but for tabletop not so ideal.
Oh give me a hoooome where the NVA roam, and the air support is stacked up all daaaaaay

Re: Orion 20 mm plastic figures - 2 new boxes
Overall, I think these Orion boxes are welcome additions for people like me who prefer 20 mm plastics. I too have found myself disagreeing increasingly with the recent Plastic Soldier Review reviews. I'm not particularly worried about a bit of moulding flash - that's what X-Acto knives are for. Even the weapons casting failures don't concern me - I either cut the weapons down to make them look right or simply cut them off and replace them with the arsenal of ESCI VC weapons left over from all the figure conversions I have done. There are a few duff figures in there though - I have no real need for the crawling ones, and the Early War ARVN bazooka guy looks like he has two conjoined arms, but I just replaced those figures with Waterloo 1815 US Marine bazooka men.
And I scratched my head about the flag + RPG figure until I realised you can just cut off the RPG and use it as a flagbearer, or cut off the flag and use it as an RPG guy. Nicely posed figure too. The flag is too small but that's easily fixed.
I am hoping Orion just ignores these negative reviews and keeps going - so far their box and figure choices have been great, supplementing the existing plastic figures nicely. I'm looking forward to their Early War US Marines, as the Pegasus box claimed to be "US Marines 1965" but was actually poses taken from photos circa 1968/9. An ANZAC box would be nice too, and some Khmer Rouge, etc. etc.
