Vietnam Specific Rules
Gents: During lockdown I'm working on my rules summaries of Vietnam rules for my web site. I'm wanting to make sure my list of rules is as complete as possible. BUT I am only looking at rules specifically for Vietnam. Either purpose written, like Charlie Don't Surf, or rules that have specific variants/supplements for the period like Ambush Valley. I am NOT interested in, say, generic rules that could be used if you did all the stats and TO&S and ratings yourself.
I'm also not really interested (yet) in fan variants so for example someone did a Hordes of the Things variant. I'm really just interested, for now, in rules that were published.
Here is the list I have so far:
Ambush Valley (1st Ed.)
Bodycount 1st Ed.
Brown Water Navy (Flames of War)
Buckle for Your Dust
Bump in the Boonies
Charlie Company
Charlie Don't Surf
Combat Action Command: Vietnam
Face of Modern Battle
Fire Fight!
Fireteam Vietnam
Fireteam: Nam!
Flashpoint Vietnam
FNG
Free Fire Zone v. 2.1
From the Delta to the DMZ
Full Metal EDNA
Giac My
Grunts, Leathernecks & Charlie
Long Road South, The (Disposable Heroes module)
Mekong Vietnam
Men of Company B (RFCM)
Nam 1/200th Wargames Rules
Nam 1965-72
Nam 69
Operation Nam
Piquet: Forgotten Heroes
Search and Destroy
Tien-Len!
Tour of Duty
Vietnam: The Men of Company B
Are there any I'm missing?

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
There's lots there that are new to me. Are there any that might be good for company level fights with a 1:1 figure scale?

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
Company level at 1:1.
The Flames of War games are 1:1 just not based individually ('Nam is the new one, Tour of Duty older).
Charlie Don't Surf could handle a company if you have a decent sized table (say, 6x8 or so)
I'm in the midst of writing summaries of them all (well, as many as I can get my hands on) and putting them on my web site here:
http://deepfriedhappymice.com/html/rd_vietnam.html
I would also give a look to Men of Company B, and Combat Action Command.
I'll let you know....

FNG looks like a game with a squad or maybe two; am I missing something?

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
No, you're not. Figures act individually or in groups so I would never run a game that big, I think it would bog down. Plus it is very focused on infantry - vehicle crewmen are tracked individually.
I am working on a set of rules called In Country that I think would suit. Figures are mounted individually, but activate in squads. I give noobs a platoon to run, with maybe tracks in support, or a mortar section. Experienced players can run a company, and you can field several companies if you have a big enough table.
Happy to send a draft copy to anyone who wants to see it. PM me here or mark@scalecreep.com

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
Didn't GHQ have a set of rules? Also, David Manly apparently wrote a set that I believe is called FireForce, but that may be his Africa game. Will check.
For the record, I've run games of FNG with 12 players, each with a fireteam, squad or multiple vehicles, at conventions. Sort of unfair as I wrote them so could streamline them where needed for that setting, but could still get in a full game in 3 hours, like attacking a bunker complex or evacuating a village under fire. Could get pretty crazy, but it was more about the details!

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
GHQ's is on the list: Mekong Vietnam is it.
I've run big multiplayer games of FNG too. As with you though I limit it to a squad per player, with maybe some getting a support weapon. Any more than that and it bbboooogggsssss down....

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
Some additions for the list:
Incoming! https://balagan.info/incoming-vietnam-rules-for-the-crossfire-system-by-barrie-lovell
Search & Destroy 1966 (originally in Spanish - English version here:) http://search-destroy1966.blogspot.com/2013/07/SD66-rules-in-english.html?m=0
And I have to ask, just in case what I have is a different set of rules (you have listed a "Fireteam Vietnam" and a "Fireteam: Nam!"...): Is your "Fireteam Vietnam" the one by John R. "Buck" Surdu? (published 2002).

The Search and Destroy link takes you to a '404' error.

Re: Vietnam Specific Rules
Yeah, names for games and rulebooks are often unimaginative. I'm a rule book collector and have a list (for shopping purposes). Anything with Napoleon or Blitz is probably taken....
Here's the list for the curious:
