Anyone up for a Group Build??

Anyone interested in doing/participating in a group build? How about Vietnam Gun Jeeps...

1.) Vietnam War(s)
2.) Must have four (4) wheels no more
3.) Must have a weapon(s) mounted on the vehicle.

Honestly, I think guntrucks would probably be better for a group build, lots more options. And lots more guns!!! But I could do a jeep.

i have struggled to find 28mm gun trucks. Would you plan to modify Corgi models or similar?

I'm painting one now in 15mm. Lovely models from Command Decision.

I don't do 28s any more.

I have all the gun jeeps I want. Can I use one already done?

@Darby- I thought for a starter we should keep it simple. Most people already have a Jeep and you can pack a wide variety and number of weapons on a Jeep

@hayeswauford- Sure, start with a Corgi and work from there!

@Extra Crispy- 15mm's great! and you already ahead of the game!

If you will look at the criteria, there is a lot of room to use your imagination.

Should I create a forum for a Group Build 2020 then and you guys can run it from there?

The gun truck so far (this is the base model, in progress). I'm going to do this one in the black paint they favored later. I'm going to do my own "nose art" rather than use an actual example.

Maybe just a "Group Builds" as there may be more than one for 2020 and I am sure this will lead on to lots more madness!

If you are doing jeep types just wait a few weeks and you can get your hands on both the Mutt and Mighty Mite to play with Just sorting the crew for them.

You're on - I've already base-coat spray-painted my two S-Model Mutts and worked out the figures for them.

So what will be the plan and the timeline?
Interested but not sure for what to order/paint/use in games for this challenge.

I was thinking the deadline should be 31 July 2020. That should give you 2 months..that enough time?

Okay just for fun I'm doing one of those Gypsy MUTTs. In 15mm a July deadline should be no problem.

I could submit the gun truck I'm working on but that's a stock kit. I'm going to "junk up" the jeep for this.

Now THAT I'm looking forward to.

Hmm....I see your point, the last thing I ordered from anywhere outside the US was pre-pandemic, lets extend the deadline to 31 August 2020.

Thinking about the mule from gringo or the Cadillac Gage Commando from empess at the moment. The otter is also Nice, but a tracked vehicle.

So how many people have entered, or are planning to enter? There doesn't seem to be a concrete commitment from what I've read.

I for one, am out. I won't get my jeep OR stowage from the UK in time. That's guaranteed.

Having been told I can use an existing one, I am in.
