Re: 28mm cars for Hue
Hello,
Before jumping to painting my 3 next gun trucks, I completed the conversion of a ERTL Chevy Cab in 1/43 as a civilian truck I could see on many pictures. I found this diecast truck sold from France on eBay by surprise. It is the only one model I found close to represent big Ford or Desoto trucks of that time.
I keep green blue color but they were mostly turquoise for real.
The trailer is scratch built. These trucks were used as garbage trucks for example. It is a big model but it is just a diorama element to put in background.

Re: 28mm cars for Hue
Hello,
I repainted my taxis with medium blue, that I find more accurate. 4CV and Dauphine are from Norev 3 inches serie. Citroën traction is from Siku.
I have also more buses to paint with heavy load to do. As terrain elements, I find that cool. The traffic tower is 3D printed. Some had a roof painted in green but most were white and red.

That last van is so shady it looks like a Coca-Cola bootlegger's van.
Great-looking taxis and I love the traffic cop station.

Diligent late-night recon up Saigon back alleys...

Lovely additions, especially like the delivery truck.

On this topic: Beer delivery trucks (beer LARUE and 33 Export) are nice looking terrain elements for a Vietnam war urban terrain/diorama. At early war there were yellow-orange Renault Galion and Type 55 Citroën trucks (with black front fenders).
But from TET offensive period, I think a better model is the Corgi "Kew Fargo" 1/43 (13.5cm long): it would be great painted as 33 Export truck (and without any conversion). A images search in Google with "saigon 33 export truck" keywords gives you examples.

Fantastic bus. I love those third world buses.
I was pretty pleased with my one 20mm Saigon Taxi that I did for my Test 68Tan Son Nhut game. You have a whole fleet of taxis!!! As Big Ed Croft used to say, "I'll have to go back to my cabin and think about that."
