Leon Pendraken wrote:Thanks to BravoSix for the invite, nice to be here! As the profile name suggests, I run Pendraken Miniatures where we've got nice ranges for Vietnam and Indo-China in 10mm. We're hoping to add some new bits and pieces to both ranges over the next 12 months.
Welcome! One thing I would like to see is packs of mixed poses. Maybe taking existing poses that you sell in multi-packs and offering a "one of each" type of pack. I've wanted to delve into 10mm, but buying ten of an officer pose or RTO is what keeps me from diving in...if that makes sense.
Regardless, Pendraken offers some great products, and glad you are here!

Thanks for the reply, we can do custom quantities, no worries there. So if you only wanted a handful of each pose, we can sort that out for you. All we'd need is a list of the code/pose/quantity you want and we'll price it up.

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
We do quite a few of them so it's not much hassle. There's a slight price difference, so it's 20p per figure for custom jobs rather than the £1.85 for 10 packed prices.

That is very good to hear! I will go through the site and come up with a custom order. Leaning towards Indochina as I have the beginnings of a 15mm Vietnam project already.
Thanks!!!

What? You don't want a million scales and projects like the rest of us? Tsk tsk.

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Well, considering that I already do have a smattering of French Indo 15mm, this WOULD be two scales, same conflict.

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Hey everyone,
I was a member on an old incarnation of FoF some years back and am glad to see it's back again!
I've recently decided to revisit the Nam for wargaming, and am also currently on the hunt for more friendly wargaming forums, so seeing this back up and running timed up rather well!
I orginally had a 28mm collection for Nam from the now defunct London War Room range. They were lovely minis, but as my table space is quite limited (my gaming board is 3' x 5') 28mm just wasn't really pratical for anything more than a squad a side. So I sold those off and switched to 15mm. I think my initial plunge into 15mm Nam was actually a lot I bought from B6 who knows how many years ago now. I had painted up quite a lot of them, but was unsatisfied with the results. So I stripped them and then never touched them again. But I think it's finally time to get back to it. I ordered some extra minis to fill the gaps with what I already have, plus some wooden bases, and am going to get to painting.
It's nice to be back, and there looks to be plenty of inspiring work on here.

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Hello everyone, I've been gaming for about 3 1/2 now, mostly ancients and medieval. I had been hesitant about modern until my buddy turned me on to Force on Force - Bush Wars, I've been collecting mainly Rhodesian figures in 15mm. I was re-watching Hamburger Hill the other night and had an idea for organizing a campaign (as a former Rakkasan it has a special meaning to me) which brought me to this excellent forum. I'm former Army -- 11b I served from 1985-1989.
Cheers,
Joe

Welcome Joe,
You will find quite a number of brothers in arms on this form, not all from the US though.

Another welcome to you, Joe. Hamburger Hill is my favorite Vietnam movie. Do you have the book of Hamburger Hill scenarios?

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Thanks for the welcome everyone! I have seen the book you mention Tom, in fact I am considering finding a copy to see if I can play the scenarios with Force on Force.

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Joe, later today I will post a brief review of the book. I use FNG and had no trouble. I have also used Force on Force Vietnam scenarios with FNG with no trouble. That would seem to indicate Screaming Eagles at Hamburger Hill could be used with Force on Force rules.
Stay tuned for my posting on Hell's Half Acre.
