Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Gentlemen,
It's really great to hear from you all again: GarryOwen, FlyinSquirrel, Darby, etc. I'm amazed how quickly this site has developed! I've got a bag of photos to past from my old 20mm (and new 28mm) kit. Sitting here in downtown Singapore, it's good to know that life is continuing elsewhere.
You all stay safe.
Tim

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
since i've started posting some comments, why not introduce myself ?
i'm a French guy, born after the fall of Saigon, who has been interested in Vietnam for 30 odd years.
for the last few years, i've been trying to get/make a nice table and minis for FNG2T but i've played a few wargames long before that (dien bien phu by Descartes comes to mind).
I've also been getting books (with just a couple of fiction like the sympathiser) on vietnam (in english) and indochina (in French) and of course i'm trying to watch all movies related to both subjects (la 317ème section is one of my favorite)
may i say i really like this forum (and the old one too) as they are plenty of nice things for the eyes
i just wish there was more offer on the PX

I also am a fan of FNG2t. But I use the mechanics from Nuts, 4th Edition and have added vehicles, again using the mechanics from Nuts 4th.

Welcome Mad Max! Yes, sadly the PX has always been a slow place for sales, trades, etc. Even at the old forum. I guess everyone just wants to keep all their shiny toys!

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Hello All,
I just joined the forum to follow your news, ideas and inspiring works about Vietnam war. I used to wargame 15mm Napoleonic (Général de Brigade and Blücher in a club). Then I sold my army to start a 28mm collection of US infantry and vehicles on Vietnam war. I enjoy painting this period. My target is to build a display diorama (a Tet offensive streets fighting scene) in my future war cabinet. My motivation for that complex period is first Miniatures loving and History. I paint after my work when I can. My budget is limited so I don't hesitate to scratch build things. And finally I am happy to find a place to share that work. Regards Richard

Persel69 presentation
Hi guys,
I am happy to find this forum that I thought had disappeared.
I am 51 years old, I live in France, I was born in 1969 (maybe a sign!)
I started collecting Vietnam War uniforms when I was 12!
I am more a painter and collector than a player.
I started collecting FAA 20mm figurines that I had the stupidity to resell several years ago. Since then I have switched to 28mm with fabulous miniatures sculpted by John Bruce from the FOA brand that I love. I will continue my collection with the beautiful Empress and Gringo figures in the future.(only USMC for US troops maybee one day...)
My cult films Platoon, Apocalypse now, Hamburger hIll, Full metal jacket, casually of war etc
Thank you for accepting me in your group!

Re: Check Your Gear! 2020
Thought maybe I should stop by and say 'Hey". I've never been very active on the forum, though have been on (and off) the forum for some years. I've had three rounds with Vietnam gaming, the first starting out in the mid 1980s with Firefight 20 miniatures (I think that was the name, from Modeler's Mart). Did it again with FAA 20mm figs in the mid-late 1990s, and in more recent years with Britannia figs. Hoping to share a little more with the forum this time around, and thanks to all of you "old-timers" who have shared so much in the past.
