FIC game with Empress Miniatures figures.
Looked a bit empty in here so here are a few pictures.
The game was fought using Danger Close rules from Empress Miniatures.

Re: FIC game with Empress Miniatures figures.
Those are absolutely gorgeous!!
I really like the way the figures in the sixth photo from the bottom are “in” not “on” the vegetation. Is it really soft, is it the weight of the figures, do you have removable clumps or what ?
Fabulous water effects too. I could go on and on.

Re: FIC game with Empress Miniatures figures.
Cheers guys.
The grass is simply Astro Turf samples. All different height samples can be got from companies. I then cut them into size. I have lots of elephant grass size as well
The rivers were made by painting layers of clear gloss varnish onto the painted river. As every coat starts to set dapple it with a brush. The final result is the light reflecting. However this was when you could get Polyurethane varnish. The current stuff is water based so I am not sure it would still work. Thanks all those people who were drinking it instead of painting river

Re: FIC game with Empress Miniatures figures.
Thanks for the reply Paul. I thought it looked like astro turf, but in other times I always thought the figures looked like they were standing on top of it rather than walking through it.
I didn’t say it before, but of course the figures are beautiful too. All of it is “Numba 1, GI.”

Re: FIC game with Empress Miniatures figures.
Thanks mate. FIC is a very interesting period as its the same war but very different in many ways. The benefit is the terrain is the same for both conflicts.

That is a really nice table Paul. Can you tell some more about the rules you use?

Re: FIC game with Empress Miniatures figures.
We use our own as sold by Empress Miniatures. Danger Close. Very simple but very good detail.
Just about to release the 2nd version which includes vehicles, aircraft, radios, artillery, etc.
